1/4 c. red onion diced
1/4 to 1/2 c. summer squash diced
2 to 3 T. chopped parsley
Mix above ingredients until well combined.
Season with the following:
1 t. Mrs. Dash grilling blends-Chicken
1 t. Mrs. Dash onion and herb seasoning
1/4 t.poultry seasoning
Fresh cracked black pepper
Add in the above ingredients to the meat mixture. Shape into patties and put in freezer for at least 15 to 20 mins.
For the sauce:
1 c. Pomi tomato sauce
1 t. Mrs. Dash onion and herb seasoning
fresh cracked black pepper
Mix ingredients in a small sauce pan and simmer for 5 to 8 mins.
Grill burgers until cooked through.
Assemble by placing the burger on a large piece of lettuce or a bun, then add a bit more chopped lettuce and some of the sauce.
Variation: add chopped avocado and bacon.
