Ham & turkey deli meat
Swiss cheese
mayonnaise
mustard
2 eggs
1 c. milk
toothpicks
Assemble the sandwiches:
First off you need an Angel Food cake {store bought or homemade works}
Cut into extra thick slices-3 slices per sandwich
We made our Angel Food Cake in loaf pans to make it easier.
The picture above is from a different time we made it but we forgot to take the picture
this time we made it- Sorry;)
Preheat the griddle to 350 degrees.Now this next part might sound kinda gross but I promise it wasn't!
Take the bottom piece of cake/bread and spread it with a little mayo and mustard-teehee
Layer on your turkey, ham and swiss cheese then another slice of cake/bread and
spread with only mayo. Do another layer same as above and top with final piece
cake/bread. Place 4 toothpicks in a diamond shape to hold the sandwich together.
Then slice diagonally across.
You'll have 4 sandwiches.Now make an egg batter using 2 eggs and 1 c. milk.
Dip the sections of sandwich 1 at a time. Immediately place on hot griddle.
Make sure you fry all 5 sides.
Slide the toothpick to get the top and bottom grilled.No need to sprinkle with powdered sugar cuz it's plenty sweet:)
